I have a broken 680 that I am sending back to Palm, but I want to wipe
all of my data first. The problem is that its ailment is a sticking
virtual key: it goes into a constant hotsync loop the second it boots up
as if a hotsync button were being pressed. When attached to my PC via a
sync cable it ignores that so I can use the device, but it still thinks
a key is sticking so a hard reset doesn't work: it just boots up as
normal. Is there any way to wipe it via software other than deleting
every record?

I know there are applications out there that will wipe a treo if a
certain SMS message is received or something like that. Suggestions?
I'd rather not pay much for a program I'll only use once, but if that's
the only choice I'll do it.

Thanks.
