Likewise, after only a very brief test, I encountered screen redraw issues and 
resets and it's gone again.

They made a 
 fix for the displaying of images using up all the memory for the JVM and 
 causing crashes, but now it will hardly display any images at all.  There 
 are some threads about it in the Opera Mini forums.  For now, I am back to 
 the 4.1_beta version and using a program called "UDMH" (Google for it) to 
 make it more stable.
