Wow today's bible reading is just awesome. In Isaiah 58:3-12, there is a heavy teaching on fasting. What touched me was the fact that asting is not only about not eating but one needs to feed the hungry, to give to poor, to clothe the naked, to loose the bands of wickedness, and to let the oppressed go. Verses 6 and 7 The bible says as u do this, thy light shall rise in obscurity and thy darkness shall be as noonday.' and the Lord shall guide thee continually and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones, and thou shalt be of thee like a watered garden and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.' 58:11 let us strive to make our fasting effective.
