Amen that is so true. Its amazing how we can become so visionless in our lives. I`ve found that the reason for that is because we live in a world that focuses so much on the now and not what could be. On the circumstances that we can see today.
The challenge is what is can be so overwhelming hence we find it hard to focus on what can be. The Bible does say that as believers we look not at the things that are seen (because they are temporal and subject to change), but we look at those things that are not seen because there are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18. If we can tap into the vision of God (what God sees over our lives), that is eternal. Our provision, our health, our wisdom, our authority in Christ... those are eternal variables. They cannot be changed, nothing can be done about it, the good things God has for you are unchangeable. But for it to become your vital experience, you must focus your attention on them, you must LOOK at those things. As Simba was saying the need for vision can never be over emphasised. You really will become what you behold. If you can see yourself only as an employee, if thats your vision if that is all that you see then that is all that you will become. One of the humbling things in life is to acknowledge that someone else can teach you something. And oftentimes on our way to achieving and realising our vision we will need to go alongside people who can teach us and show us to walk the path that there are walking. The Bible says a wise man takes heed to instruction. On Mon, Nov 29, 2010 at 5:32 AM, <[email protected]> wrote: > 'Without a vision, the people perish, but he that keepeth the law happy is > he.'
