The dlink "+" cards do not work under linux. The have a TI chipset that TI will not release any documentation for and will not allow anyone to write a linux driver for. I have one of these and have been patiently waiting for a linux driver. None is forthcoming, so I bought an orinoco card off ebay. It works like a dream. See

for more info on Dlink "+" card problems.

Now that I've procrastinated a sufficent amount of time, I'm looking to buy a 802.11b PCMCIA card and would like to spend as little as possible on one.

So it sounds like Linksys and DLink get the nod for working with linux, I check the Sunday ads and saw Netgear has one cheap. Do Netgear wireless cards play friendly enough with linux or should I just spend the extra $10 for a linksys?
