When I "tail -f /var/log/messages" on an xterm, and I scrollback to look at something, the display jumps back to the most recent output whenever something new gets sent to the xterm.
In the past I used konsole (the KDE terminal emulator) and scrolling back was "sticky" - when you scrolled back to something, the display stayed there regardless of new stuff coming out. I read "man xterm" and could find a commandline option for controlling this behavior. Can anybody give me hint here? Is it possible the behavior is a feature of konsole but not xterm?
