yes, you can use the / partition for this, again you need a general idea of what email volumes you are expecting. With < 15 people I would say a 5GB partition would be suitable then again I don't know what you email volumes are gonna be. not real sure, depends on the volume of email you are predicting. Email lives in /var until the user picks it up.What size would you suggest? Samba lives on /home , so you would have a /home/samba/work directory and a /home/samba/finance directory, by making directories instead of partitions you could create a /home/samba/jj in the future. Some people choose to partition but I let the system use the existing space.I also forgot to ask on which partition I would want to create the directories to share? Or should these actually be their own partitions? If you are not an avid Samba admin, I would strongly recommend using SWAT.
