Especially some of the "classic" early versions. I just _love_ how they're so integrated into a package designed for Professionals(tm). M$ has managed to equate being a "professional" with being "too busy to learn how things actually work" when in the not-so-distant past being a professional meant knowing how things actually work. Now it should be quite obvious that Mutt is the preferred email client since it allows you to choose the editor, URL viewer, MDA, and MTA. It also lets you manage the email headers. Kmail is a good step away from Outlook/OE but it's not the last step because you're still caught in the land of homogenized integration. Where you want to be is in the land of configurable diversity where people with functioning brains can thrive and resist the numbing effects of aging, reality-TV and professional sports. -- Mike Two hundred years ago, we note mischievously, the average American or European had a standard of living not very much superior to that of the average man in India or China. -- dailyreckoning.com -- TriLUG mailing list : http://www.trilug.org/mailman/listinfo/trilug TriLUG Organizational FAQ : http://trilug.org/faq/ TriLUG Member Services FAQ : http://members.trilug.org/services_faq/ TriLUG PGP Keyring : http://trilug.org/~chrish/trilug.asc
