I just went to find some documentation to verify what I remember, and I
failed :).

They don't come right out and say whether or not you are going to be
charged for the drive or not in that short little paragraph on that
page.  I don't think you get the real details until right before you
confirm that you would like to RMA the drive.

If my memory serves me right, I do not recall any charges from Western
Digital showing up on my statement (and I watched very carefully the
first time I used the service :p).
