All of a sudden today my sound stopped working on my Gentoo system. I
have verified that it is not the amplifier or speakers, so it is
definitely the computer itself. I have not recently updated or made any
changes that I am aware of, so I don't know if it is software or
hardware. I don't even know what to check, any suggestions? Do sound
cards go bad?
