And that's when I saw /dev/md0 and my LVM logical volume on top of it mounted 
correctly.

Nope.  Now that I can boot, I'm back to where I have to stop LVM, restart the 
RAID, and start LVM to get that working.  I'll go back to that as soon as I 
figure out KMail.
