I did that. I think I found it after I wrote this question though. I
hadn't "cleared" my /etc/modprobe.conf. And yes it is a RH based distro.
Am testing this theory and won't know for a while.
However, I do have another issue. My disk is now "hanging" on the
"Initializing Hardare" portion of the boot process. Some machines seem
to work, some seem to hang...any troubleshooting suggestions?
