Hi Jason, After spending a number of weekends trying to build/find a full-featured XMPP server, I found jive wildfire (then called jive messenger). AFAIK, it is the most featureful open source XMPP server available. If you can/ will run a java server, I _highly_ recommend it; it just works. http://www.jivesoftware.org/wildfire/ hth.
