I'm not sure I fully understand what you want. You want a system where
you can have eg:

http://myfamilyblog.net/family
http://myfamilyblog.net/jane
http://myfamilyblog.net/john
http://myfamilyblog.net/billy

And so forth? Where /family is an aggregation of all the others?
