Oh, I didn't noticed that. Ubuntu developers removed GIMP from 10.04 release and replace it by F-Spot http://arstechnica.com/open-source/news/2009/11/giving-up-the-gimp-is-a-sign-of-ubuntus-mainstream-maturity.arsMaybe the best way is to replace GIMP with some lightweight photo editing tool (F-Spot is also a Mono app).
