Hi, yesterday i've been to a Richard Stallman conference in Italy, and his
interesting speeches about free software and free-OS gained my attention.
Now i'm running a GNU/linux Ubuntu (updated to 10.4 version recently) and i
want to pass to Trisquel (because i've read that it's similar to Ubuntu and
run on my 64bit pc).
Now:
1)Reading among the websites, many users said that is not possible to run
with efficiency 3D graphics with nVidia.
In my machine runs a nVidia GeForce 8600 GT and now i'd like to know in what
way i can have the same efficiency of my graphic card after
trisquel-installation (i mean if there are free-licensed driver for nVidia
graphic card).
2)The second problem i've read among the websites is that "Intel wireless
card" does not wok in Trisquel for the same reason of nVidia graphic card (i
mean that Intel card is not released under a free license).
Also in this case i'd like to know if i'll have any problem with wireless
connection and if there are free-licensed drivers which i can use.
3)The last problem i've read is the configuration of the printer.
I've two Samsung printers (ML-1610 and SCX4521F) and since i haven't found
any free driver on the web, i'd like to know if is possible and how to
configure them after Trisquel installation.
Thanks previously for the info i'll receive, hoping to switch to Trisquel-OS
soon as possible with the same efficiency i've now.
