Hello to all,Reading Mark G Sobell's "A Practical Guide To Ubuntu Linux" Chapter 26 Firestarter and IPtables it became clear that this block had something to do with DHCP. The pattern of transfers fitted. So back to wifi setup. The correct fields were filled in, ie SSID, WEP, Infrastructure,AutoDHCP. The trouble appears to lie here. This does not connect to the router yet SSID, WEP, Ad-hoc, AutoDHCP does.
