I'm experiencing a similar problem on a Lenovo X100e: suspend works fine, but  
when I try to unsuspend I get a black screen and the keyboard is  
non-responsive.  After a minute or so it seems that pressing the "Fn" key  
wakes up the machine.  I have not had this problem since using Fedora 14 on  
this machine, so it is likely a Gnome issue.
