As far as the modifications you can ask quidam about that.  He is usually on  
IRC or you could email the dev mailing list.  Trisquel should be totally  
free.  If you ever do notice a freedom issue it is considered a critical bug  
and we hope you will report it to the bug tracker so the issue can be fixed.
