hmm same error on USB flah and CD? You might just want to check the hash on  
the image. Maybe it got corrupted during download.

Try downloading the 5.5 version of Trisquel too (it isn't actually ready yet  
although there are some nightly images you can download). 5.0 is based on  
11.04 with an older kernel and driver set. So 5.5 might solve this issue.
