I didn't want to thread jack and this is more general than original thread. If I remember my training correctly, EU Law forces vendors to publish their specifications. Sadly I was never told which treaty article or directive this was under so I can't give you something handy to quote at a vendor and pressure them. Perhaps somebody else knows or can access a consumer law centre that might be able to help? Leny / Andrew
