I had the hang problem also on a HP Pavilion a410y 1 gig of ram.Anyways, it was hanging took my dog for a walk. Came back less than an hour later. Didn't think it installed. Rebooted and now running, the newest mini version. The mini version is designed for older systems, etc.
We'll see what I want to do next. Liked the idea of an all free OS and a unix-ish type of box.
