At first I thought Cinnamon would fit future Trisquel releases. I don't know how the 2D version of it is since it was insanely laggy on my hardware (didn't happen with 3D version). I had no idea how to replicate the Trisquel look and feeling in it and that means we would deviate from our standard user experience. Cinnamon is very different from Gnome in all usability aspects. I don't mean it is any harder but it does have a small learning and adaptation curve.
