So in summary, the kernel in 12.04 and above already has the free driver in  
it and doesn't need direct modification in the future. It's just the .deb  
with the system firmwares needs to be customized to include the firmware when  
it is ready.

When the firmware is ready, the Trisquel firmware .deb will get a point  
release with the Atheros firmware. Until then, it is blocked and/or left out.

It would be cool to get the free firmware added to the main Debian and Ubuntu  
repos too down the road.
