I was reading today at
http://www.gamespot.com/news/shadowrun-returns-will-be-released-in-june-6406700
about how Shadowrun Returns will be released this June for Windows, Mac, and
GNU/Linux but there are a few catches:
* If you buy via Steam (with DRM of course), you will have access to the full
experience including user generated and downloadable content.
* If you buy the non-DRM version, you can still play the game, but will not
be able to use user generated content or have access to downloadable content.
So with that in mind, do you see this as a disturbing trend? On one hand you
play the DRM route to play it "safe" but then also appease the DRM haters by
releasing the game without it but at the same time giving them a watered down
experience.
