I don't think you understand. It's not the enterprise features that are most
concerning. It's most likely exactly what Intel is saying it is. The problem
is the technology appears to enable something similar but which is
clandestine. It may be that this feature even requires a BIOS update that is
not being shipped to end-users. It could be for instance a version of the
BIOS that gets installed after a court order or for foreign intelligence /
spying. Think of it this way. What better way to hide a hardware feature than
to ship something that could otherwise be done in software if not for the
clandestine portion (separation of concerns such that the OS can't detect
it).
