Why not simply copy and paste the list of packages after your sudo apt-get install trisquel ?Save it in a text file; if you don't like kde anymore, copy the content and do the following:
sudo apt-get remove insert-content-here
I'm not quite sure if this works but I don't know why not. Much easier than using a virtual machine.
