Is uploading copyrighted material on "gobblin.se" actually legal? I'm asking
this 'cause I want to upload my whole A/V collection containing various
movies and soundtracks (around 1TB and more), and don't want to mess with the
server storage, or worse, cause a Court roundup resulting in a temporal
website shutdown (I do appreciate the website owner who gave us the
opportunity to experience this fantastic piece of free/libre software and
just doesn't want to cause him difficulties). Another question is whether the
uploaded data will be preserved and for how long (since my uploading speed is
slow, and because this takes a lot of time and work, I would not like to see
that after some period of time, some or all of my uploaded files was
automatically deleted).
I know that I can create my own MediaGoblin server, but I want a temporary
solution until I get some money to make one (not something that I can
accomplish in a short scope of time). I also know that this can depend on
geological restrictions, resp. on local laws, and there is no difference if I
upload something to, for ex. a file-hosting website (and share the link or
links with people), or a video-sharing website like gobblin.se.
Since I doesn't found any legal information on the site itself, any help in
this regards will be appreciated.
