It actually won't be much more expensive than had you purchased it locally.  
There is a VAT rate of 16% although this is collected locally in Mexico too.  
The only thing not collected if purchased locally is the customs processing  
fee of 0.8%. That is a mere $4 USD on a $500 laptop or $8 on a $1000 laptop.  
Shipping is about $100 USD via DHL with a 2 day delivery estimate. There is  
also a 2-3 day build period although most laptops ship in about a day.
