Trisquel is basically Ubuntu minus non-free software. So, the wifi probably  
requires a proprietary firmware blob to work.

Probably the easiest way would be to buy an external USB wifi that works with  
free software. There's a Think penguin link in the column on the right hand  
side of this text who can sell you such a device.
