The other solution would be to install the packages "qemu, qemu-system and qemu-launcher". Here is a wiki-book https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/QEMU If you are referring to the wiki-book substitute the command just "qemu" with your hardware architecture based command like these "qemu-system-i386" or "qemu-system-x86_64"
