I'd assume the answer is yes... But I'm about to test it now.
I'd also like to think users can dial-out now without having to add permissions... but I'm doubtful thats been fixed.
ath9k_htc was the bigger of the two issues as there are lots of users of wifi and very few of dial-up modems.
