I am in a hurry right now, but just wanted to clarify some things.
5 years ago I would agree with you. However, nowadays LInux has been  
receiving more and more attacks, and while I think we should try to improve  
linux, I also think that moving to Hurd MIGHT prove to be a more wiser  
decision in the long run (10 or 20 years from now).
Of course, as of now Hurd is not an example of security. But it has some  
interesting ideas and it could prove to be better in the long run.
