It's not that hard to put up such a site. Particularly when you have as many  
people working on the project as they do. It gets more complicated when you  
have things like a shopping cart, internationalization, translations,  
currencies, etc. Those things don't exist with the default deployment of  
something like Drupal.

There are pre-configured environments I could deploy in all of about 10  
minutes. The main thing that would take time at that point is the content.  
However, even that probably didn't take more than a week or two.
