But, if you don't have such a file and LibreOffice can't import it properly, here's a suggestion, though it's kind of obvious: open up the PDF in a PDF reader (like Evince), copy the text, and paste it into a new document. It's not even close to a perfect way to do it, but it's one thing you can do if you don't have a more effective way.
First off, avoid having to do this if you can. PDF isn't meant for this. Have
a copy stored in a word processor format like odt.
