The software that I've installed recently, as far as I can remember, are i2p  
and VirtualBox. I don't think they have anything to do with this problem.

I read /var/log/dpkg.log. I found this:
2013-12-01 13:47:41 status installed linux-generic 3.2.0.56.66+6.0trisquel2

I didn't find anything related to 'xserver' or 'linux-image'.
