[Trisquel-users] Discuss Xorg Joystick Driver Bug

I experienced and tracked down a bug in the package  
xserver-xorg-input-joystick that causes mouse emulation to be broken.

I realize it's an obscure package, but I use it and I'd like input and  
opinions from anyone who's interested before I do anything else with the bug.

Does anyone else here use the Xorg joystick driver? Anyone know what's wrong  
with the affected code I pasted? How to fix it gracefully? Should I take it  
upstream?
