If your in the United States I'd highly encourage people to sign the petitions below. If you've paid attention to the news bad things are happening. ISPs are going to be able to charge content providers for faster access to you. These companies already have government instituted monopolies in many areas and duopolies in most others by design. It's unfortunately already started with Netflix caving in to Comcast and now Verizon. If your not one of the major players you'll likely find it impossible to provide competitive streaming services as your customer's ISPs are refusing to deliver the content at the speeds the customers were promised. And it may be even worse than this. I'm unsure, but you might not even be able to access some sites if an ISPs allowed to discriminate. You wanted to get VOiP services from company X? Well, you can't, because your ISPs outright blocking that option. You wanted to use a new peer-to-peer VoIP service? Sorry. Your ISP doesn't like the FSF? No more access to the FSF for you.
