Those who need orca cannot easily install it, nor can they use a live system
without it. To me, no orca is a black screen. Orca can be easily removed
or deactivated. This said, we may be able to build the production Trisquel 7
without the automatic startup of orca on the live system, since gnome now has
a universal toggle 'alt+super+s' to toggle the screen reader. As long as orca
and its dependencies are installed, this should work. Once a system is
installed, and the user logs in, she can activate orca with the toggle, and
it will automatically activate for subsequent logins by that user. If we are
to decide to eliminate the automatic orca startup on the live medium, I would
ask that a sound be played, to indicate that the desktop is ready; The
Trisquel 5.0 I18N edition had some music for this, and I found it helpful.
