Hi, I've just realised that the version available in  
https://launchpad.net/~gnome3-team/+archive/ubuntu/gnome3-staging?field.series_filter=trusty  
is actually newer than the one that comes with Trisquel 7 - it might solve  
the problem (make sure to disable the PPA after installing Evolution, though,  
unless you want to use GTK 3.12).
