Hi!
I want to upgrade my Trisquel Mini from version 6.0 to version 7.0.
I wanted to do it with the update tool. But I encountered a problem: the trisquel-recommended package and all its dependencies were marked as to be installed. This is something I don't want. So, I stopped the upgrade. I had the same problem with the do-release-upgrade command. Does anybody know how to upgrade my system without installing these unwanted packages (that shouldn't even install themselves)? Don't hesitate to ask me some questions if it is necessary. Before posting this message, I already posted quite the same ont the part in french of this forum, but with no luck so far. And I continued my research for a solution too. I found this forum message (in french) on the ubuntu-fr forum. I quite applied the fifth install method: I changed my /etc/apt/sources.list file, updated the packages list and, instead of doing the upgrade, only simulated it with the command below. This time, the list of packages to be installed didn't include the ones I want to avoid. :)
apt-get dist-upgrade -s
However, before upgrading this way, I prefer waiting to know if someone has got a safer method or if the last I presented is good to go.
