I'm not much of a gamer anymore, mainly because I'm pretty damn busy as a
grad student, but I want to say that I really appreciate the work that you
guys do. Telling someone reliant on windows for games to switch away for
ethical reasons is asking them to make a huge sacrifice, and whether we like
it or not most gamers won't commit to that until free gaming gets better. An
improvement there would benefit the free software community far beyond just
gaming. I think that it's among the most urgent situations in free software,
and I'm sorry to see you're not getting any feedback here. I believe most of
the reason for this thread being so barren is that historically the state of
free gaming has been so bad that the vast majority of those committed to free
software have mostly given up on games. I hope it's not too discouraging,
because you're doing a great thing.
