First of all: welcome to Trisquel!1) yes. I would say it's pretty user friendly (in the sense that you have graphical programs for almost everything) and you have the advantage of the four freedoms (see: https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-sw.html)
3) Since it's based on Ubuntu, you can get a lot of information from their wiki. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ But you're welcome to ask here, use the Trisquel wiki, webpage and also the irc channel as well. :-)
