As can be seen in their video (1:05 - 1:25) in their crowdfunding campaign page (https://www.crowdsupply.com/purism/librem-laptop), you can physically access the hardware very easily including the CMOS. You just unscrew 12 screws from the bottom of the laptop and simply remove the whole bottom part. In this way, the Librem 15's design is absolutely superb.
