thanks! i'll try this when I get time for another session with it. Clear  
instructions like that from the actual source of the software makes things  
much easier. I can follow what the commands are doing but I wouldn't have  
known them myself.

Of course to really make it easy may I suggest you make a .deb file download  
from your site?

if the Startup Disk Creator tool included with Trisquel is known to not work  
properly, then why not just replace it in the distro with freenetbootin?
