Answering my own question.I changed the workgroup name while logged in as admin in MyBookWorld, and now Network access works fine from the desktop, but still there is no access using Terminal.
Therefore, I'm not frozen out from the MyBookWorld NAS anymore, but Terminal remains a quandary.
