Sorry for the late reply and for my bad English (I'm Brazilian), but
unfortunately, CorelDraw is nonfree/proprietary software (as in freedom,
not price, that is, it's unfair/unjust because it denies to EVERYONE,
ALL their essential freedoms to use, study and adapt, share AND sell the
original copy, AND share AND sell the adapted/modified copy).

Besides, it uses a a proprietary file format that only Corel is allowed
to fully implement (yes, I'm talking about the CDR file, the CorelDraw
vector project). Other software can implement this proprietary file
format, but they're not obliged to comply with such unfair/unjust
control over society's computing habits. For example, when we take other
proprietary file formats, it's noticeable that most free software
implementations serve as an one-way implementation, that is, you can get
things from that file, but you can't put it back there or, if you can do
so, you mustn't expect a perfect outcome.

If you want a one-way, not-so-reliable, solution, please use the package
inkscape with the python-uniconverter package. Once both are installed,
find Inkscape in the start menu, and use Inkscape's File menu options
like Open and Import to open an existing CDR file, check if everything
is OK, then save it as other file using Inkscape's native format, SVG,
then close the file and open the recently saved SVG file with Inkscape
to check if everything went well.

SVG files are (s)calable (v)ector (g)raphics that, more than just open
standards, are free software file formats, so every single thing inside
this file has a huge documentation that proves what must and mustn't be
there, so there are no secrets, contrary to the CDR file format, for
which the guys from Uniconverter had to GUESS what the contents of the
CDR files were. Besides, SVG files are simple/plain text files in which
some phrases have special meanings.

Also, one can make websites using SVG files directly, and can also make
Presi-style presentations using the Jessyink Inkscape extension or the
Sozi Inkscape extension, all of which, once ready, can be viewed
directly in a web browser that supports SVG files, without needing
anything else besides the web browser itself and Internet connection if
the presentation reads content from the Internet.

To summarize things up, a file format being "standardized", for us,
isn't enough if the guys who made it are the only ones capable of
implementing it (or if they're the only ones who can choose who can
implement it) and if there's no documentation to cover every single bit
of the file format. See for example, the standard that is,
unfortunately, valid: Microsoft's Office Open XML (the so called DOCX,
PPTX and everything-used-by-Microsoft-Office-2007-onwards-ending-with-X).
