I don't see an option to do this with the Indicator Applet (which Trisquel 7  
uses by default), but one possibility is to use the Clock Applet instead (add  
it to the panel by right-clicking on an empty space and choosing "Add to  
panel...", then choosing "Clocks"). If you do this, you may also want to use  
the Notification Area applet to replace the Indicator Applet's notification  
area, unless you want to have two clocks showing at once. :)
