Magic Bananna suggested this too, and I installed Synapse in Gnome Shell.  I  
felt that there was a little overlap between Shell's functions and Synapse's  
functions, but that's fine.  I decided to go back to lxde for now though.

I'll try Budgie one day; thanks for the suggestion.  I haven't heard about it  
before.  I'll search for pictures on the Internet.
