Many of the regulars here use OpenBox on a standard Trisquel install:
1) sudo apt-get install openbox
2) logout
3) click on the little Trisquel logo next to your username and change the
desktop from 'trisquel default' to 'openbox'
4) enter your password and login
Voila!
I find this is brilliant for resource-hungry apps which don't really need
much multi-tasking, especially games. You just need to know the package name
of the program you want to run, and type it into the terminal. If you are
used to OpenBox you already know this, but for anyone who hasn't tried it...
